Who we are

The Magick Muse (magickmuse.com) is a digital grimoire and educational resource for modern practitioners, operated by The Magick Muse. You can reach us at TheMagickMuse.co@gmail.com.

What data we collect

We collect limited data only:

• Analytics data — if you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site (pages viewed, time on site, broad geographic region). This data is anonymised and aggregated. We do not use it to identify you personally.
• Email address — if you subscribe to our newsletter via Gumroad, your email is stored and processed by Gumroad under their own privacy policy. We use it to send you updates about The Magick Manuscript and new content. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Purchase data — purchases of The Magick Manuscript are handled entirely by Gumroad. We do not store your payment details.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses:

• Google Analytics cookies — only if you consent via the banner when you first visit. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, or by declining when prompted.
• Local storage (functional) — we store your cookie consent choice and whether you have already seen our welcome offer popup. These are not tracking cookies; they exist only to avoid repeatedly showing you the same prompts.

We do not use advertising cookies, profiling cookies, or third-party tracking pixels.

Third-party services

• Google Analytics 4 — analytics, consent-gated. Google Privacy Policy.
• Gumroad — payment processing and email list. Gumroad Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — typefaces loaded from Google's servers. Google may log your IP when serving these fonts. Google Privacy Policy.
• Discord — our community server. Discord's own privacy policy applies when you join.

Your rights

Under GDPR (if you are in the EU or UK) and similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for analytics at any time
• Opt out of our email list via the unsubscribe link in any email

Data retention

Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Email addresses are held until you unsubscribe. We do not store any other personal data ourselves.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this policy occasionally. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last changed. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
